As they were walking around the crowded foggy town in search of Kris, Susie suddenly asked "ralsei?". "o-oh, uh...yeh?" Ralsei startled stuttered out. "Hey, you OK? You seem..... distracted?" Ralsei was afraid of this. Susie might be onto him "who me? N-no no I'm OK, did you want something?" Ralsei mumbled out dismissively to change the topic. "yeh actually. you know kris well, where would do they usually hang out?" Susie questioned "well usually if they aren't in the castle they hang around somewhere in town. Its a small area, we can find him!" Ralsei exclaimed with hope. "Maybe we could try the dojo?" "Well we won't lose anything by going there, so sure I guess" Susie mumbled out unenthusiastically
"you seem tired.....are you OK?" Ralsei asked with concern
"Maybe.....might tell if you tell me why you were so zoned out before" Susie bargained
"Never mind" ralsei answered out in a frustrated tone.
Susie was surprised by this. Ralsei was usually very calm and kind, not one to be frustrated over something like that. What was he hiding? He was one of Susie's best friends, but there was still something odd about him, something he wasn't telling. "Whatever, probably going nuts overtaking stuff" Susie thought to herself. As they travelled in Search of Kris, they asked many of the residents if they saw him. Most of the answers involved some variation of no, at least they were now at the dojo.
"I'll take lead" ralsei announced dominantly.
"alright whatever dude" Susie spoke, yet again surprised by ralsei's bitterness today. "jeez, what's gotten into him today?" She pondered. The dojo also doubled as a party hall, hence the full name of party dojo and why the usually dull black painted walls were reflecting back multiple different colours sourced from the discoball on top. In the middle stood jigsaw Joe, the master of the dojo. "Ey other bosses, where's the big boss?" Joe asked, practically disproving their theory Kris went here. " oh were looking for him, have you seen him around?" Ralsei returned to his usual soft voice. "Not me personally boss, but I heard one'a ma men spotted im not long ago"
"How long ago we speaking? What did they see?" Susie questioned inquisitively
"Bout half an hour ago boss, While on their break they said they saw the human headin to the bakery boss" Joe told them "we've got no time to lose then, uh thank you for your time jigsaw Joe!" Ralsei excitably stated "no problem boss, hope ya find the big boss boss" they headed out of the dojo in search of Kris.
Toriel was in a catatonic state of panic. She knew Kris was introverted and unsociable,so she can't possibly imagine where he's gone to. Her mind starts to race through various ideas as she worriedly paces back and forth through he usually warming living room. "I'm such an awful mother, how did i let this happen?" She shamefully spoke out loud to herself. Toriel then heard a knock at the door.
Fearing the worst, but hoping for the best she gently opened the door ajar. "Who's there?" She asked cautiously. "maam, it's just the cops. We wanted to report to you directly." A rough female voice informed. "Oh, come in!" Toriel offered as she regained her composure. The officer, also known as undyne invited herself to sit down on the couch while toriel sat in the ever iconic chairiel. "So how is the investigation going?" Toriel asked shaking. "negative ma'am, Weve seen nothing of your kid" undyne spoke in a sorry tone. "i.....i see" Toriel stuttered, on the verge of tearing up.
"Has your kid had any friends or anyone else that would know where he would be?"
Toriel pondered this question. "Well.....
There is susie, his new friend. She even offered to help find him". " what about his fa-"undyne proposed before being cut off "no I'm sure that won't be neccesary." Toriel hurriedly dismissed. "I know after what happened youve fallen out a LOT with him, but he was a great guy when he worked with us. Besides, this is a grave matter involving your son's life, we need ANY scraps of information we can get" undyne scolded. "well, I guess......fine let's go see him" toriel sighed as she got off chairiel. "he better have some answers to where my Kris is". Toriel thought to herselfas she grabbed her coat and the duo headed out of the house.
"Hey, I just realised. Isn't that chef working the bakery? He kinda resents me after my whole cake debacale, think you can handle this on your own?" Susie asked ralsei. "why yes of course I can! I won't dissapoint!" Ralsei hastily answered out.
As ralsei entered the bakery, he noticed it was relatively desolate. Not many stood on the yellow and white checkered floor and it seemed only the staff were in the building, topchef and malius the Smith. "Mama miba, a customer! Finally, we a had none all day!" Topchef gidly announced. "Oh I'm sorry, I'm just here to ask about Kris. He's the leader of our group and he's gone missing.do you know where he could be?" Ralsei politely asked. "The blue one not long ago circled my shop, I asked him if he a wanted to buy something, but he went of. I think he a went to seam. That is all I know" he explained. "Thank you so much! That helps us a lot!" Ralsei praised.
He hastily left the bakery and startled Susie as he exited. "We have to head to seam, Kris was last seen there!" Ralsei remarked
"Then what are we waiting for, let's go!" Susie reiterated as the pair sped of to find Kris.
"I'm going to regret this..." Toriel muttered to herself as the crime fighting duo exited the car. Knock knock. "Asgore, its undyne, we gotta come in. Its about Kris.". "Coming!" Asgore muffled out past the closed door. After a couple seconds of waiting, the two heard the sound of shuffling locks, the door to the flower king was opened. "So what do y-" asgore suddenly paused. There followed a few seconds of silence. "Hi tori" asgore said awkwardly, breaking the silence "don't tori me dreemur. Let's just get this over with." Toriel retorted.
As they entered the yellow tiled and pink walled shop dotted with flowers, they realised there is no place to sit so they all just leaned against the counter. "Do you know where Kris could be right now?" undyne asked strangely calmly for her. "I wish I knew, but I know about as much as you do. However he did like hanging about the cafeteria, maybe check there?" Asgore answered with a dash of hope. "Have you not been outside recently? Someone would have already reported seeing kris." Toriel replied with a hint of spite. "Well my apologies for not heading outside immediately after you lose our son" asgore retorted with much more obvious spite.
"At least I didn't lose someone else's chi-" "Already that's enough, thank you for your time big guy. Goodbye!" Undyne interrupted hastily as she noticed the warzone she was about to be stuck in. As toriel and undyne headed out, she noticed toriel and asgore giving each other death stares, as if both wanted to slit the other's throat. "What happened was awful, but was it really this bad?" Undyne pondered as they left the building, in search for another lead.
